All timelines... all those memories... they came flowing into me. Things I had done, things I hadn't done. To make us strong and show us what we are capable of. [ A beat. ] So I think it is a lucky ability. It means you are able to know what did and didn't happen. What is and isn't the reality of your time.
I suppose that is why you value the present while I value all the memories of blood... [ A giggle. He thinks Kira would have been able to handle the rebirth of the warring times better than Mitsuhide. He thinks Kira would dismiss the many, many timelines that come to exist in the goblin's mind and focus only on the present without getting confused or discouraged.
But he pauses at hearing that Kira would burn an entire town for Shinobu. He gives a bemused sort of look as he feels that means that Kira did like her a lot. He thinks that if everyone died that Kira would have been happy with her -- have a moment of happiness that lasted more than a moment. ]
After you burned everything, after... would you tell her about yourself? You took her husband's face but you could meet her with your real face... would you speak to her and meet her honestly? [ Because it seems to Mitsuhide that Kira would not want Shinobu to think badly of him. And is that not the definition of loving someone? To always be seen as one's best?
Still... for someone drowning in timelines and memories that were and not his, he thinks on what-ifs. And wonders for someone who thinks on the constant present will indulge him on a what-if. ]

The past is past and he cannot fix it nor bring himself back to life. And mulling over it all won't do him any good. He'll never live a peaceful life that way. So he simply offers Mitsuhide a soft hum and sips his coffee without question.
The topic of Shinobu is difficult. He always hesitates bringing her up too much because he hates the Fog God and the Fog God hates him. And it wouldn't benefit him or make him happy if she were here.
She would be hurt and suffer and worse... worse than anything is that before he'd even be able to get close to her the likes of Kishibe Rohan and Kujo Jotaro would snatch her up and tell her everything. No... No, if she were here he would not go near her. He would pretend he didn't even know her.
That is the best way to combat all the twisting and unwanted withering feelings inside of him.]
No. [He gives a slight shake of the head.] I do not wish to see her again. I am not Kawajiri Kosaku and that's all there is to it.
[You can still be fond of someone from a great distance. And you can still burn down a city for their injustices. He's quite sure of it.]

[ He turns the cup in his hands to look down in it. Ah, almost empty. A little giggle chases after the thought as he realizes that there is still enough to enjoy one last drink. It's a shame that Kira cannot see things the same way, but that's just Kira, isn't it?
What little of the real world that he sees through his madness, he sees Kira as someone with miserable luck. Whether that is the goblin's fault or not, Mitsuhide can't say. Indeed, sometimes it is the personalities of others that make getting along difficult -- so no one is really at fault. His eyes shift to the side, looking up at Killer Queen. Ah, I feel I thought something clever just now. And he giggles into his cup.
But he would like Kira to have met this person honestly. To speak honestly about one's vicious nature, it means no one feels upset and betrayed later. To meet everyone with a wide and true smile, it means the world will eventually smile back even as the skies rain fire and chaos spreads through everyone's heart. Yet somehow he thinks his philosophy of life and how to live is one that will lead to a quiet and peaceful life. ]
But you don't think that it's sad. [ He finally says aloud. ] These are just facts and how the world is for you. But still... I have a selfish wish for you! I have a very selfish wish. I would like you to see the world in a much more crazy manner, rather than in facts. Perhaps, you shall find more lasting happiness that way.
[ A bright laugh before he sets the cup down. ] I'm tired... but I took up enough of Kira's time, right? You just revived. You should go rest and try not to sleep an entire month again.

The wendigo has learned to understand him quite well in some regards. To be understood and to have someone see eye to eye with him... It's very nice and honestly something he has always wanted.]
Is that how you see the world? I think I am much too human to see things the way you do. What you're suggesting goes against my entire ideal way of living. I have lived on the edge of insanity and stress and seen the world, momentarily, in a haze of madness and I did not enjoy it. That is not for me, Mitsuhide.
But I will strive to be happier.
[That's something he wants too, after all.]
Ah... Stop by again sometime. Since you live a bit closer we shall be seeing much more of each other I imagine. [Mitsuhide, has come to learn, is a fine presence to have around. In small doses, of course.] I don't intend to sleep or die anytime soon so you needn't worry.

[ But that was last year and many months ago. He giggles to himself as he realizes that the concept of time holds very little to him. Something that feels ages ago for others sometimes feels like days for him. Something that feels so current and close to the surface to some is such a distant memory that he's already forgotten it. ] Well, striving to be happier is all that I hope for! All that I hope for!
[ He takes a step back and spins on a hoof before bowing -- nearly slamming his forehead into the surface of the table and completely losing balance all together due to how unsteady he is on his feet. ] Indeed, we shall see each other! Indeed, we shall! It'll be nice to come visit. [ Make sure that Kira is still alive, too. ]
Well, then, well, then... I'm glad I stayed in Bavan. Now for the walk home. Yes, it shall be an enjoyable experience. [ He says with swaying and staggering steps. His tail gives another wag. ] Bye-bye, Kira. And good-day to you, Killer Queen. Lovely to meet you! Lovely, indeed. You are much -- [ Mitsuhide leans forward a little as he tries to think of a word that isn't "endearing" or "cute." ] -- much. Okay!
[ A burst of hysterical laughter as he sways toward the door. Shame that he could not convince Kira to play the violin. A great shame. But he got a cup of coffee and got to see Killer Queen. Furthermore, Kira admitted to striving for happiness which Mitsuhide can only mean good things! So, he'll call it a partially-victorious visit. Partially-victorious in still seeking out a good and proper future for Kira! ]
